Min Yoo, Founder and CEO of EVmode was recognized by L.A. Times B2B Publishing as a 2024 Visionary CEO.

Here’s some background on Min and the accomplishments that led him to receiving this esteemed recognition. 

With a background in growth strategies, Min Yoo has been a consultant for numerous companies. He founded EVmode after a personally experiencing the widespread issue of failing electric vehicle chargers. Through extensive into current U.S. EV charging companies and their operations, Min learned that 40-60% of these EV chargers fail within 2 years after installation, due to incompatible hardware, software and firmware that don’t effectively communicate with each other. 

As EV charger demand grows, EVmode is uniquely positioned to not only meet demand but solve the reliability problem. As part of his business strategy, Min acquired a 75% stake in a successful Korean EV charging company then hire the brightest minds from LG, Apple, Hyundai, Samsung to create a cohesive team. Min designed the company to be fully vertically integrated with design, firmware, hardware, software, engineering, repairs and sales all under one roof. By manufacturing the EV chargers in the U.S., EVmode ensures quality control and delivers the most reliable, fast and affordable chargers, with a failure rate of 1 percent. 

Min’s vision was to make EVmode chargers the fastest chargers on the market. EVmode’s Gen 1 chargers are already faster than competitors’ products and to take it a step further, Min and his team will be launching a dual-port model. EVmode’s new model will have separate energy sources to avoid the energy pull and keep multiple cars charging at top speeds.

Min aims to make EVmode the #1 charging company in the nation, with a vision to create a lifestyle brand that prioritizes convenience for drivers and profits for commercial property owners. Min and the EVmode team launched chargers for sale on July 1, 2023 and has already generated significant interest and sales.
